Hello all,
It's been awhile since the last full update and I'm sorry to say this isn't one, either. However, I hear reports that at least one version of the translation patch for Mamankyoushitsu doesn't work when you finish the birthing scene with Saera; I apologize for taking so long to correct this error, though the newest version of the patch should do it:

This also is the most up to date version of the patch, featuring some improved dialogue, some translation mistakes (Japanese text still appearing, broken dialogue options, split text) corrected, and all of Mimeri's options leading into her route translated. It also contains some of Mimeri's route its self, but not anywhere near done. Working on it.
Meanwhile, if you ever find an error or glitch or mistake (even spelling mistakes) in the translations I do, please post here or email me about them. I found out about this game-breaking glitch for Mamankyoushitsu on another board, and I would have corrected it much sooner had the posted posted about it here and not there. Anyway, thank you all for your time, and to those of you that have donated: I greatly appreciate it. After Mamankyoushitsu is complete, I believe I'd like to go into those other projects I've mentioned and put a bit more focus on Kitsune-mimi related media. I have 7 volumes of the Wagaya no Oinari Sama light novel here with me, along with I think eight of the manga which has yet to be translated beyond chapter two. I enjoyed the series, so I think I want others that enjoyed it to be able to go deeper into it as well since, well, I doubt this series will ever get as much western attention as Haruhi or Spice and Wolf (both of which people should support the western translations of).
Thanks all
I'm sorry for posting this comment as a random visitor, but this has been bothering me for a while. It's a rather off-topic question, so first I'd like to thank you for all the high-quality work you put into translating these great games. They're not Loe-Quality translations at all (sorry, bad pun...) Anyway, my question is this: Who is the very attractive woman you have on the right side of your website? Is she a character from a video game or something?
ReplyDeleteThat is actually a Pixiv artist's depiction of Mokou, extra boss character from the eighth Tohou game Imperishable Night:

I’m still getting that error right after Saera gives birth. It’s after Kei says “he’s……born” it does a close up of Saeras face and I get the error. Using google translate it says this:
ReplyDeleteInformation
---------------------------
An error occured
5251 line: scenario1.ks: file
(May also indicate tags before and after the occurrence of ← Error) eval: tags
I can not find the sound effect Vsaera0075
---------------------------
I hope this will help you figure out whats wrong
I tried it with the newest patch I uploaded and everything worked on my version., then I tried it with the older version I had and everything still works when I come to that line. The sound file of Saera saying the line plays, and the text appears accordingly. It seems like your install might be faulty.
DeleteIf deleting all the files in your savedata folder didn't do anything (it's annoying to have to do, but by holding down ctrl during the text, you can skip through dialogue), then I guess uninstall the game, re-install, then apply the patch again? If that doesn't fix it, I might be able to edit something to remove the line, though I thinkif it's your installation, then the problem might occur again elsewhere.
I’ll try that, but just in case there’s something wrong with the torrent I used can you provide me with a link to one that you know works fine?
DeleteI got it to work after reinstalling it
DeleteThanks for the translation man...It seems I downloaded the demo version - only 600Mb. I had the same issue with the Saera scene giving birth. I can't install it since it already in an exe file when I extracted it. Do you know where I can download the full version ? any help is really appreciated.
ReplyDeleteAs the official blog of a free translation of a for profit game, I can neither condone nor denounce anyone's acquiring it via alternative methods. But maybe someone else, somewhere else can help.

Sorry about earlier, I think I was actually asking if you know what's the size of the original game but came out wrong. I'll follow your advise and also, are you going to continue translating para2 ?
ReplyDeleteAll told, Mamankyoushitsu installed and patched is about 2.1GB. I plan on continuing Harapara for the main routes, though right now University work is taking precedence over anything else. :S
DeleteWhile your translation of Harapara is much appreciated, i was wondering why you had started with fandisk instead of Harahara, which seems to be the first in the series?
ReplyDeleteLength. All of the Hara~ series are full length games, even longer than Mamankyoushitsu, which alone has been taking me so long to do just two full routes of. That, combined with my lack of interest in Harahara (vs. the later titles, at least) and lack of continuity between the games (there's no ongoing story between them, and no reason to play any one before any other), I just decided to skip it.

ReplyDeleteHey, just discovered Mamankyoushitsu the other day - great game, and I'm so thankful you've got at least the 2 routes translated :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work, man! Looking forward to the next patch (sounds like Mimeri's route's next?)
Mimeri's route is currently being worked on, though at not near the pace I wanted it to be. Unless I can get some break or other from real life stuff going on, it's still awhile in the works. So far, though, Mimeri's route makes everyone else's sadder; the other heroine's victory is always her loss. :S
DeleteAh personally I've come to treat different routes in games like this as parallel universes, just to avoid that feeling :P
DeleteNo different with this one - for instance, if you pick Saera, there's no indication of anything wrong with Honoka's marriage. Of course, there are still 3 routes I haven't seen, so maybe there may be something in one of them that hints otherwise, but as it stands it's easy to imagine everything's just fine.
Only character that way of thinking doesn't work with (that I've noticed so far) is Momo, since no matter what route you take you wind up with the conversation about her husband
itsumo kansha [LQT]♥ :3
ReplyDeleteБольшое спасибо за твою работу!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
This is the maximum that I can write to you in English ...
