Hello all.
After entirely too long, I have finished translating and revising the story sections of Junketsu Megami-sama.
You can now play through the game from start to finish and read all the characters individual routes and their endings.
This does not translate everything. It translates all the content relevant to all the characters routes and every game ending.
Specifically, it does not translate the following:
-The ero scenes for each of the goddesses 3 child-making sessions (but it does translate the introduction and after-session pillow talk for each one).
-The ero scenes after the daughter(s) agree to meet with you.
In graph form, it looks like this:
But Loe,why the hell not?
For the childmaking ero scenes: Because that's a lot of sex and I'm too damn slow.
This way, people interested in the plot (in MY nukige?!) can actually read it start to finish and enjoy the story/characters/pregnancy eroticism without waiting more years just to get the specifics on how the MC and Heroine happened to get with child this time around.
That said, if people really want to know what's going on in a particular scene, they can let me know and maybe I'll prioritize it. Otherwise, it is 3 variations of 3 scenes of foreplay and 3 scenes of sex, for each of the 5 goddesses - 90 scenes total. That's a lot to do for what can be summarized with "AND THEN THEY FUCKED."For the daughter scenes: Because they literally crash the game.
At the moment, I have translated every single daughter interview. But... most of them make the game crash to desktop when you try to read through them. And the few that actually DO let you read through? Well, they allow you to play through the whole scene... and then crash to desktop. I don't know why and I don't know how to fix it except by trial and error and maybe asking divine assistance.
Or, you know, maybe this patch will get some people to look at it and help me fix it.
Also note: The translation also might still have issues getting the text to display properly.
If you've seen me post screenshots of the TL, you might notice that the English letters look squished together or cut off sometimes. This just seems to be how the game displays the text... sometimes. One person apparently did not have this problem whatsoever - the text displayed fine with their system set up.I don't know how they did this. I have not recreated it. It is another issue I hope to get outside help with.
That said, if the text doesn't display properly for you, you can use a text hooker with Junketsu's .exe to capture and copy the English text onto your PC clipboard and (if you have an app that auto-pastes the clipboard's contents) you can read the TL from there.
This is another reason why this is still an "alpha" patch. All that aside, if you want to check it out, here is a link to the UPDATED script file:
SINGLE SCRIPT FILE - md_scr.med
https://www.mediafire.com/file/0p1qb545zjbgdvm/md_scr.med/file
Just download the md_scr.med file and put it in Junketsu's install folder (overwrite the old file).
Once you've done that, launch the game. It should work. Probably.
("It works on my machine!")
Years and years ago, a kind anon also made a test patch to try to fix the text display issue. I don't know if it will work for you, but I updated that, as well.
Here is the link:
JUNKETSU ENGLISH PATCH.zip
https://www.mediafire.com/file/3931abnj1cy06a2/Junketsu+English+Patch.zip/fileJust download the zip, extract the files to where Junketsu is installed (overwrite the old files), and then use the "PURE_GODDESS-mod.EXE" to launch the game. Maybe. It's been a long time.
That said... if you go through all this, you might want to know about the game's screens.
I have made this handy image guide for people to check out:
Junketsu Megami-sama Game Screens Guide
I recommend reading it, just so you know what not to click during a play through (because it will crash the game).
This release has issues, and I apologize that I don't have the solution for them. But the story is done and dusted, so friends can at least enjoy that. If they want to comment on the translation quality (or if they notice any spelling or grammar issues), that's welcome, too.
Thank you for reading all this, thank you for your patience with all this, and shout out to anyone releasing art or content for "Mayternity". If anyone artistic wants to do something to thank me for this project, fan art of Minami and Izanami (in a motherly-goddess way?) could be cool, since they didn't get too much of that in the game itself.
Otherwise, I have a steam wishlist.
Thank you all again.
Loe
