Since the Lunar Calendar is generally one month later than the gregorian calendar we use, that tends to mean the tenth month is actually our November. That so, I figured it was time for a Junketsu update, so you might get to check out these Kami/Goddesses.

So here's Alpha Patch 2 for Junketsu Megami-sama:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/0p1qb545zjbgdvm/md_scr.med/file

This patch changes the entire translation into first person present-tense narrative, for a more immersive read. It also translates every scene marked in purple on the chart:

Basically, it translates almost all of the main story for each of the Goddesses and Minami/Izanami. It doesn't translate the eight scene for the Goddesses, the ninth scene for Izanami/Minami, and their endings. Yet.

If you have Junketsu Megami-sama installed, simply download the above file and put it into your Junketsu Megami-sama folder (overwriting the old md_scr.med file). When you launch the game, the in-game text (not images and not every choice) should be in English.

Note: I still have not figured out the text display issues, so you will need to launch the game with a text hooker and clipboard capture program to properly read all the english text. I used to use Chiitrans, but I'm not sure if that's still available.

If you find any issues. glitches, or mistakes with the translation, please inform me here on or twitter at:

http://www.twitter.com/LoeQuality

In other news, I have recently translated the second and third chapter's of Kokonoki Nao's Pregnant Succubus Series, and you can find galleries of them on the Sad Panda.

And if the concept of a pregnant Succubus happens to be of interest to you, please remember that SwanEye's visual novel HaraChuChu is still translated and available.

My apologies for being so slow to update here on the blog, but I try to limit this to only updates that feel worthwhile. My apologies.

-LQTLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-924939029370219752019-01-15T08:06:00.002-08:002019-01-15T08:06:26.791-08:00Happy birthday to me, another present for you - Harachuchu!! 100% English - COMPLETEHello all,

After entirely too long, HaraChuChu is finally complete. I have translated and revised all of the routes, all of the epilogues, and all of the bonus explanations. It is 100% done and ready to be enjoyed.

Harachuchu is the last visual novel SwanEye made for their "Hara~" series of games, and may be one of their best works (though that is not saying much). It features a vampire (who is half succubus), a teacher, two mothers, and more. I enjoyed tranlsating it much more than HaraKano, and I hope that you will enjoy it, too.

Download the patch here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/g3o2h2nu32tzfbg/patch.zip/file

Once downloaded, extract ALL the files from the .zip archive.
Move the 'patch.xp3' file and the ENTIRE 'patch' folder (with everything inside it) directly into HaraChuchu's folder.
Overwrite any old files.

NOTE: if you have an old version of the Harachuchu english patch, you should DELETE the 'savedata' folder from your Harachuchu folder. I edited and revised pretty much everything, and Swan games don't like it when you have old savedata files but new scripts.

Once done, launch Harachuchu. The menus will be in Japanese, but the game its self should be in English.

Don't forget to check out the HaraChuChu Translation Notes also included in the patch, for some neat info and general notes about the game, the characters, and the translation. Do what you will with the three random wallpapers.

For a guide to the menus, please check out this imgur album:
https://imgur.com/a/uGrfN

For the game its self, you can buy HaraChuChu from a number of digital retailers, including DLSite and DMM, though it might take some work to do so. You can also buy physical copies of HaraChuchu from Amazon.co.jp for like, half the price, but then you have to figure out how to get it shipped to you.

For the record, I have also updated the HaraKano JOKE patch for a little bit more fanservice and stuff near the end of the route. Again. This will be the last time I modify the patch, I swear. If you are interested (and still have HK installed) you can download the latest version of the joke patch here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/49fli5hn7t4fs3b/scenario1.ks/file
In the 'patch' folder in Harakano's folder, just rename the original scenario1.ks file to something else, download the one from that link, and move it directly into the 'patch' folder. Start HK and start the story. Pardon the outdated references.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I began translating Harachuchu years ago, hoping to release it in time for Halloween. That clearly did not happen, but... whatevs. I hope you enjoy it now, and I thank you all for all your patience waiting for this release.

Shout outs to S.A. for donating 10 dollars, and another shout out to M.U. for the one dollar monthly donations. It is appreciated.

By and large, this concludes the interest I've had for translating SwanEye's materials. At least... for now. For everyone waiting for more from Junketsu, I must sadly ask you to keep waiting, because real life must come first, and I have not been able to give it the time it deserves. So far.

Thank you all again for all your patience and support, and let me know if there's any blatant spelling/grammar problems with the translation.

Kukuri best girl.

LQTLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-22698503329646128542018-06-07T22:42:00.000-07:002018-06-07T22:47:32.606-07:00Partial Patches' Partial UpdatesHello all, and my apologies for seeming so out of touch. I usually don't update the blog unless I have something worthwhile to update with, so all my recent news has just been posted on the LoeQuality Twitter.

Today I do have SOME updates, for both Junketsu Megami-Sama and HaraChuchu. They aren't quite as finished as I want them to be, but I'm about to go out of town for a week and I don't want to risk losing any of the work I've done and/or something not good happening.

As such, here we go:

HaraChuchu

Ena's Route is finished. Her epilogue is not. I have updated the Harachuchu patch so you can enjoy her route, and then I hope to finish her epilogue sometime later (right now only the start of the epilogue is done - I've included that in the update, too, but it won't be satisfying).

Download the HaraChuChu patch here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/g3o2h2nu32tzfbg/patch.zip

To install, download the .zip.
Extract all the files/folders in it
Move all the files/folders into Harachuchu's folder (overwrite any old files)
If you get an error when you launch the game, delete the savedata folder and re-launch (you will lose all your save files. My apologies).

Junketsu Megami-sama

I have completed more of the story routes for the goddesses. The way the game generally works is each heroine has Slice of Life story scenes followed by erotic scenes, then childbirth. The first patch translated the first round of all that for all the goddessess. This patch... it translates almost all of the Slice of Life scenes for the goddesses (except the end of Kyubere's), but not all the erotic scenes. Vishnu's scene is done, but all the others? Not yet. This is primarily an update to see if the choices during childmaking and daughter interviews work. I translated the first daughter interview (Vishnu's daughter Narasimha), and the choices for her, but I'm not sure how well the translation will work with people's versions of the games. So... download the new patch and check and see. If your game crashes or gets odd error messages, please please please tell me.

Note: during childmaking, the choices are translated BUT... if you click 'on second thought' it will open the 'Load Game' screen. It will not go back to the previous choice selection screen. Fortunately, Junketsu autosaves at every choice, so if you really want to go back just find the right save. The last time I tried to edit the childmaking choices, clicking 'on second thought' made the game crash so I guess this could be progress...

TL;DR
This translates all of Vishnu's next erotic scene and her following SoL scene
This translates the start of Rhea's next erotic scene
This translates no other character's next erotic scene
This translates Rhea's, Tiamat's, and Astarotte's next SoL scene
This translates almost all of Kyubere's next SoL scene
This translated the interview with Vishnu's first daughter Narasimha
This tries to translate in-game choices for childmaking/interviews without breaking the game

Anyways, here's the link to download the latest partial patch-
http://www.mediafire.com/file/0p1qb545zjbgdvm/md_scr.med

To install, download the .med file.
Move it into Junketsu's folder (overwrite the old md_scr.med file)
Launch the game.

NOTE: you will still need a text hooker to capture the english text to your clipboard,
and clipboard monitor to take the copied text and post it in a read-able format.
You will probably need an H-Code for your text hooker. You can find one possible code on Junketsu's VNDB Discussion page: https://vndb.org/t10777#1

Other

I found and translated a quaint little doujin about two mothers. It's called 'Futari no Mama de', by the artist 'Ritsu' and the group 'Inu no Isshou'.

You can read it on SadPanda or other galleries.
You can buy it and support the author/artist here:
http://re2.booth.pm/

Judging by the end page, it sounded like the artist was initially unsure of the story, but I like it well enough; it'd be cool to see where he/she/they take it from here.

I also gave a slight update to the Harakano Parody route, and will probably do so again. I use it to learn about Swan's coding language/style. Feel free to download either version of the Harakano patch to check out its latest iteration.

Other other

Thank you so much to J.C. for donating 50 dollars, for the completion of Ena's Route. I'm not actually planning on charging for any of Harachuchu, but it is appreciated anyway, and I apologize for not yet having the complete epilogue available for reading. Thanks as well to M.U. for donating 1 dollar a month to LQT.

Lastly, thank you to all of you reading for being continually patient with me and putting up with so many delays, errors, and general lack of timeliness and overall quality. Thank you.
Ena's route is not yet complete, but I have finished translating and revising 100% of Mei's route, and have updated the patch accordingly.

So~

If you happen to have an interest in more of Harachuchu and might like a petite Sensei type character, feel free to check it out.

You can download the new patch here:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/g3o2h2nu32tzfbg/patch.zip

Extract the 'patch' folder and 'patch.xp3' files from the archive, and move them both in their entirety into HaraChuChu's progam folder (overwrite any old files).

Ena's route should follow soon (you can see some of it already in the Mei route update) and then I think I want to combine the rest of the routes into one complete update. We'll see. Feel free to also check out the HaraChuChu translation notes, located within the 'patch' folder.

Junketsu is also still being worked on, though with my usual slow pace. My apologies.

Thank you all for your continued support, and especially thank you for your continued patience.

-LQT

LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-72333298254500900152017-12-26T22:12:00.001-08:002018-01-10T05:27:05.447-08:00A Holiday Present - HaraChuchu Kukuri's Route 100% English Patch!I posted on the twitter that I was working on a yuletide present for everyone, and... well the yuletide doesn't end until January, so I'm still safe! It's not as large as I wanted it to be (not yet), but here you go:

HaraChuchu!! - Kukuri's Route 100% English Patch!

This patch is for Swaneye's HaraChuchu!! visual novel. It translates 100% of Kukuri's route, 100% of her epilogue route, and 100% of the common route, along with the explanations and 'route' for the special mode.

To install, simply download the patch from here:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/g3o2h2nu32tzfbg/patch.zip

Extract the 'patch' folder and the patch.xp3 file to your pc, then move them both into your HaraChuChu directory. You do have HaraChuchu installed, don't you? Of course you do!

Overwrite any old files, and launch the game.

Update: English menu guide is now available here:
https://imgur.com/a/uGrfN

Be warned that the English patch will not work with any save files from the original Japanese version of the game. You are advised to delete them before installing the English patch (simply delete the 'savedata' folder in the HaraChuchu directory before you install the patch).

More routes to come... soon.
Soon?
Soon............

Originally I wanted to do this for a Halloween release (a vampire story for Halloween? Who would have thought!), but as usual I went over time... by a month or two. Anyways, here it is.

Thank you all for supporting LQT over these increasingly many years, and for all your patience.
Junketsu Megami-sama is still in the works and is not on hold. Happy holidays, happy new year, and all that other stuff; let's work to make 2018 better than 2017. Less hatred, less intolerance, more conversation, more truth.

Thank you all again,

LQT

Edit: found one single bit of code that might make the game stop working a little after Inori appears. Suffice to say, it's been fixed. If you encountered this error, re=download the patch and overwrite the old patch with the new files.LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-73331083317533036332017-04-22T02:34:00.002-07:002017-04-22T02:34:45.560-07:00Junketsu ProgressHello all,

So it's been a rather long time since I've made any sort of update on the blog (the LQT twitter is a different story), but that's pretty much because I haven't had much of anything to update with. That hasn't really changed, but after four months I might as well.

For the record, progress on Junketsu is continuing as expected. I am working on it when I'm able, though admittedly it doesn't have the highest priority when it comes to what I do on my free time - it has the second highest priority.

By my estimate, there are 128 script files left to complete the game's STORY. This excludes the child making scenes, the birth scenes, and the daughter scenes. My plan will be to complete these story segments first and release them as another beta patch (so people can figure out how to get the translation to be legible on their system set ups). After that I will focus on completing the child making/birth/daughter scenes. Once those are done and revised, I'll update the patch and that SHOULD be all of Junketsu translated.

Should be.
Here's why it might not be:

Looking through some of the script files, I notice there are a couple of text files that SHOULD contain some sort of Japanese to be translated, but only display junk characters when opened - the sort of characters that get displayed when you try to load Japanese text without East Asian language support. These files don't seem to be anything story related (they are only about two or three lines of 'text' total) and MIGHT just be chapter titles for the user's save files (each segment has its own title which displays on the save/load file select screen), but I honestly don't know. There also SEEMS to be a segment missing from the common route (the script files suddenly jump a number, from TXMP0_08_01.txt to TXMP0_10_01.txt), but I'm not actually sure. I didn't accidentally delete the file - when I run the script extractor on the base install, the missing file still isn't there. Either the script extractor isn't getting the file, or for whatever reason TXMP0_09_01.txt just doesn't exist.

In regards to the actual quality of the translation...

Junketsu Megami-Sama will read better than it looks, at least for the beta patches. I am trying to write the translation to be more fitting for how English speakers would say the lines given, and provide some scenes with a bit more exposition on what's actually going on in them (since they would read somewhat janky otherwise). Unfortunately, the Junketsu patch is not nearly so kind as the Swan patches were, and does not allow me to add or remove any lines from the script files. This means what's said on some lines in Japanese must be fit in it's entirely onto the same lines for the english translation. Japanese tends to be a lot more concise than English (for example, '中出しさせているの気持ちい' only takes thirteen characters to say in Japanese, but takes at least thirty five in english) so some of the more text heavy lines of Junketsu will in fact probably go a little off the screen.

This would be a matter of concern if the in-game english translation was actually legible, but it's not so it isn't. If you use a text hooker to grab the translation (which seems to be the only way to do it right now) it will grab the whole line of text, regardless of whether it fits on the game screen. So no worries... but it won't look beautiful.

I have no ETA for when the Story beta patch will be released. I have hopes that I have stated, but I will not make any promises. Check out the Loe Quality twitter at www.twitter.com/LoeQuality to get progress updates as they occur.

Thank you all for your continued patience with this project, as well as all your past support Special thanks to C.P., A.N., and M.A. for their donations to LQT. They are very much appreciated.

Also, in case anyone was wondering, I unfortunately have no plans to translate Welcome to Elf-vale/Youkoso! Lewd Elf Forest. It looks like the story is cool and interesting (because I read visual novels for their stories), but I do not want to have it as another project waiting in the wings - my apologies.

LQTLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-10050595614469557342016-12-30T00:17:00.002-08:002016-12-30T00:17:23.159-08:00Harakano Correction and other thingsTo start off, something came to my attention in the comments for the HK complete patch: a user was having trouble getting 100% of the CG scenes, and noticed one scene from the harem route looked like it was cut off.

I looked into and found out they were totally right: the first ero scene from the harem route (Hiyo and Haruka) did get cut off in the english patches, both Donovan's full patch and my own (since for that scene, I just used Donovan's translation). Naturally, that's a bad thing, so I went into the script files and corrected the mistake (and updated the translation).

So,

If anyone is encountering this error (and if you used any of the final patches for Harakano, you most certainly are, even if you don't know it), you can correct it by deleting whatever English patch files you are currently using and installing the LQT complete patch, located here:

https://www.mediafire.com/?muy1s6yvv29j00l

This will fix the problem, let you view the entirety of the scene (with English, yes), and allow you to unlock all the CGs that are part of it, so you can get 100% CG completion without having to use the premade savefile included in Donovan's patch. I also did a couple minor fixes to some of the other script files, and updated the Parody Translation just because I wanted to. Unfortunately, using this patch will make the menus of HaraKano again be in Japanese. Unfortunately, I have not been able to contact Donovan to see if he'd be willing to update his full patch again, and I don't know how to do it myself. My apologies, and hopefully Donovan will see this post and be willing to go through the hassle. Again. Sorry, man; it keeps happening.

Secondly, while I'm slowly revising my Mamankyoushitsu translation to be, well, better and more readible (it was never revised when it first came out, and the entire patch was done using windows notepad), I am not currently working on any other Swan game, nor do I have plans to work on HaraMin.

BUT, if you or anyone you know wants to try and resurrect the Haramin project, I do have access to the script files and can and will send them to you, with instructions on how to edit them. I also have the files for Harachuchu, Hitozuma Oneesan, and Yanmoe if anyone wants to try their hand at them.

I'd like to work on Harachuchu and Hitozuma, but at the moment that is not a thing.

Third... happy new year and all that. 2016 has been an interesting year (among other adjectives) and I'm glad I was able to finish both Haramiko and HaraKano for your reading(?) pleasure. I would like to thank everyone for your interest in the titles, for your interest in LQT's projects, and for your support and patience as I slowly, slowly went through them. 2017 is already looking like it will be interesting too (if for all the wrong reasons), but good luck to you and yours - though hardly related to the contents of this blog, the world has a lot of challenges facing it. We live in interesting times. Don't let you and yours, or anyone else's, get wrecked.

As for things related to this blog, I'm slowly, slowly, looking at Mahou Tsukai no Yoru. I have the script files and will probably start posting any of the ones I finish, but I still don't know how to turn these script files into an english patch, or what format the translated files should be in if there was to be a patch (do I have to use the same amount of characters per line that the Japanesescript does? Can I add lines to the game, or would that break it entirely? Does the engine support special characters? etc etc). It is a problem.

Junketsu Megami-sama is much easier to work with, aside from the fact that I don't know how to make the game engine display the english translation in non-squished together characters. There are ways around it involving other programs, but that's hardly efficient. Whatever the case, my hopeful hopeful release date for anything Junketsu related would be Mother's Day, 2017. Because.

I would also like to work on at least some of the games in my vndb wishlist, but the problem is lack of script files and an english patch, and of course time. Oh well.

But again, thank you all so much for your interest in LQT's projects and your support of LQT over these past years.

Happy New Year, welcome 2017.LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-28397130052082600522016-11-30T02:57:00.002-08:002016-12-09T14:50:30.590-08:00HaraKano complete patch. And just like that, Dekiru Translations has finished the remaining scenes of Harakano. The game is now 100% translated. Thank you so much to Dekiru for going through the hassle of translating the remaining scenes.
Download and install it same as before, and enjoy the complete version of the game (if you're into that sort of thing).

Will update with Donovan's patch, if Donovan updates his patch. Apologies to Donovan for revising the HK patch so many times.
Update:Donovan has again graciously updated the UI patch he generously created. Now it contains UI translations, menu translations, the Hiyo patch Dekiru was kind enough to create, and the rest. You can download it here:

https://www.mediafire.com/?72z5oruq9jf8dmq

or from where Donovan has it uploaded, posted in the comments.

--IF YOU USE DONOVAN'S PATCH--

Make sure that you do not have any old version of the English patch installed. Before you move the patch files from Donovan's patch into your Harakano folder, make sure you delete/remove all the old patch files (the file named patch.xp3 and the folder named 'patch' and every file inside it) or the game will most likely crash on start up.

Thanks again to Donovan for supporting the Harakano translation project so much and doing so much to make it look as good as possible.

Thanks to Dekiru for finishing Hiyo's scenes entirely gratis, thus letting Harakano be listed as a full translation.

Thanks to M Imam Hadi for providing a temporary patch to the temporary patch.

And thank you, for caring enough to read this far and follow this project to the lengths it took.

Thanks all,

-LQT

No ETA on when it will be finished, but according to Dekiru they will start as soon as they finish their current project. I will post an update here when they finish, but in the meantime you can check out Dekiru Translations on their blog here:

https://dekirutranslations.wordpress.com/LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-19689948933607472582016-11-23T02:24:00.001-08:002016-11-25T09:18:35.318-08:00Something to be thankful for? Harakano FINAL PATCHIn 2014, on April 1st, I released a joke patch for the game HaraKano by Swaneye, calling it the '-100% Patch'. A lot of people thought this was a real patch, and were very disappointed when they found out otherwise. That was when I decided to start a project to translate Harakano for real, to make up for the joke.

It has taken over two years, but the project is finally finished. Just in time for Thanksgiving (if you're in the US and into that sort of thing), this is the final HaraKano patch:

https://www.mediafire.com/?muy1s6yvv29j00l

This translates 100% of Marina's route, Ren's route, Ayana's route, Kaho's route, Kanna's route, and Haruka's route. It also translates 100% of the their epilogue routes. It also translates the entire story of Hiyo's route, Hiyo's epilogue, and the Harem route and Harem epilogue. They have all been translated and revised, so they should read decently well (though the Swaneye engine may stop them from being formatted well on occasion).

The only thing is does not translate are Hiyo's H-scenes. I really didn't want to translate them, and I feel it could be potentially harmful to my employment if I did translate them, so I have left them alone. Hate me if you'd like.

To install the patch, simply download the .zip archive from the link above.
Once downloaded, extract the files from the archive onto your computer (there should a folder named 'patch' with multiple files in it and a file named patch.xp3).
Once on your computer, move the files/folder directly into the folder where you have Harakano installed (overwriting any old files).
Run the game .exe and enjoy.

Unfortunately, this patch does not translate the Harakano menu and options buttons, as I do not know how to make a patch like that.

Since I don't know how to make a patch like that, though, I made this guide:

HaraKano Button Guide

Friendly user Donovan has also created a patch which translates and adjusts various menus/options/settings in the game, but I am unsure how to run it, and unsure how to get the final patch to work with it, so I will wait to see if Donovan wants to update it and post a guide.

Thank you to everyone for being so patient with Harakano, and with me, and all the other projects of Loe Quality. Especial thanks to Donovan, RandomInternetUser, A.M., M.A., C.P., and everyone that donated to LQT. Not only did it help me out, but it literally let me continue to live in a place with a roof a couple months. Thank you all so much. My apologies that Harakano is not the most interesting game to read, but here it is.

Where does LQT go from here? There are many projects I want to work on, but very few I have the actual patch for. Junketsu Megami-sama is one, and Mahou Tsukai no Yoru is the other... kinda. I don't really have a patch for Mahou Tsukai no Yoru yet, but I do have the script files, so that will be the next main project. I will endeavor to translate all the script files and then really hope that the translated files can actually be applied to the game. I will give no ETA as I am also working full time abroad, but I'll see what I can do.

Thank you all again for supporting LQT and being so patient with your support. I hope you enjoy Harakano, even though it seems... kinda lacking and kinda incomplete at times (see the Harakano Side Notes in the patch folder for more information, or check the topic for it on vndb: https://vndb.org/t7521).

As of today, I'd like to release a tentative third alpha patch for Junketsu Megami-sama. It should translate just about everything up to (and maybe beyond) day 10 in the Junketsu Megami-sama storyline, though that depends on the choices you make during gameplay.

What it is is I have translated the entire rest of the intro (including Izanami's arrival), and the first TWO choices the player can make for scenes with each goddess (these are all you can choose before they then give birth to their first child). I would have liked to translate each goddesses first birth scene as well, but at this moment I only have that completed for Vishnu. That may change in the next couple of days, but as it stands I am uncertain of my internet options for the next couple days (or longer), so I want to upload this now while I can. There is also one scene that I believe I haven't edited and revised yet, but I don't remember which it might be (so please reply to this post or post on twitter if you find any sort of mistakes, awkwardness, or oversights with my translation). For the record, the choices you can make during some scenes are also not translated, but that's only because I haven't found the script file where the choices are located yet.

Anyways~ With no further delay, this SHOULD be the link for the proper file:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/0p1qb545zjbgdvm/md_scr.med

Simply download the .med file and put it directly into the folder where you have Junketsu installed (overwrite the older file). Then run the game and start the story and everything should be in english.

Unfortunately, while it should be in English, it will also be in a rather squished together font type, due to format issues with the game engine that have yet to be overcome. As such, in order to actually read the English script, you will probably have to incorporate the use of a text hooker to catch the english text and display it legibly. There are other methods, I believe, but I have yet to sort that part out.

I thank you all for your patience waiting for this new patch, and I also thank the fans and supporters of Harakano for their patience with that final patch; I will begin working on it now, and hope to have it completed soon (hopefully it will be completed by the time I have better internet again). After that, I will begin -finally- working on Mahou Tsukai no Yoru and looking for a way to get the script for that to work with the game engine.

I thank you again for your ongoing support and interest, and hope you enjoy this release.LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-78403717064657088352016-06-28T22:26:00.000-07:002016-06-28T22:26:06.945-07:00Harakano - Kaho's Route 100% Translated!Hello all again,

A.M. and M.A. fully funded Kanna's route, and Donovan went ahead and fully funded Kaho's route, and it is now done! Kaho's route and epilogue are now 100% available in english, edited and revised by LQT.

Get the patch here:

https://www.mediafire.com/?muy1s6yvv29j00l

To install, download the .zip archive from the link above.
Extract all the files onto your computer.
Move the extracted files directly into the folder where Harakano is installed (overwrite all previous files).
Launch the game and enjoy?

Kaho is the elder sister of Marina, and daughter of Kanna. Her route is unfortunately the second shortest in the game (second only to Kanna's, unless you count the Harem ending as a route), but I hope you all will enjoy it.

This leaves but one route left to finish before I will be done with HaraKano entirely. It's been a long process, and there's still some more to do, but I thank you all for your patience and your support throughout these past... oh wow, over two whole years. Special thanks to A.M. and M.A. and Donovan, because of whom Kanna and Kaho's routes were completed at all.

Speaking of Donovan and speaking of thanks, thanks to Donovan (again) and RandomInternetUser for funding the final route I will be working on in HaraKano: Haruka's route! I plan to start it immediately, and hope to have it finished soon, a long with all the final bits and pieces of the game I plan on working on.

Unfortunately, I must also announce at this time that I will not currently be accepting funding for further Swaneye projects/routes. My life situation looks like it's going to be changing in a rather large way fairly shortly, so until that gets sorted out I will not be taking on additional translation projects, beyond the current ones. If you'd still like to donate and support LQT, though, it still is definitely appreciated (seriously) and not just because Star Ocean 5 just came out.

At any rate, I thank you all for your ongoing support and continued patience. I hope you enjoy Kaho's route (short as is it; it seems like the writer for Swaneye seemed to miss/ran out of time for a lot of the opportunities a character like Kaho had in the story), and I hope you look forward to Haruka's route.

Thanks again,

LQTLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com34tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-51660137075984433392016-06-16T22:24:00.000-07:002016-06-16T22:24:07.759-07:00Harakano - Kanna's Route 100% translated!Hello all,

The first of the funded routes for HaraKano, Kanna's route, is finished! 100% of Kanna's route and after story epilogue is translated, revised, and now available in english!

Check out the patch here:

https://www.mediafire.com/?muy1s6yvv29j00l

To install, download the above .zip archive.
Once downloaded, extract everything from the archive onto your computer.
Once extracted, move all the files and folders directly into the folder where you have Harakano installed (overwriting any duplicate files).
Run the game and enjoy (an english guide for the game buttons is available here: http://imgur.com/a/FBzuU).

This patch translates all of Kanna Tachibana's story mode and epilogue. Kanna is the mother of Marina and Tachibana, and good friend to Haruka and the Yagami family. Her route was the first funded route of HaraKano, thanks to donations from A.M. and M.A., and next up will be Kaho's route, followed by Haruka's.

Kanna's route is unfortunately much shorter than Marina, Ayana, and Ren's routes (running at about half the total lines), and like most all of Harakano doesn't make full use of its potential. But it is the way the writer wrote it/how Swaneye allocated the content; it's short and sweet, and unlike some other routes from Swaneye I've translated, it did leave me wanting the game to go into depth MORE rather than wanting it to have gone into depth LESS... not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I thank everyone for their continued interest (and patience) waiting for my translations, and especial thanks to everyone that has gone out of their way to support LQT, be it by donating, commenting, patch assistance, etc. It is all of great help, and I greatly appreciate it.

As said, next up is Kaho's route, followed by Haruka's, and as I work on those I will continue to work on Junketsu Megami-sama and Mahou Tsukai no Yoru - I'm about to go across country and be without internet for a month, so hopefully I can work on all of those more.

Thank you all for your continued support and interest, and hey! If you're really interested in HaraKano and its translation, be sure to check out the HaraKano Side Notes text file either included in the patch folder or posted on vndb here: https://vndb.org/t7521 (updated with each patch update).
LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com25tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-8118300199048092432016-04-19T21:43:00.002-07:002016-04-19T22:31:16.644-07:00A quick update to Junketsu Alpha Patch #2Hello all,

I wasn't expecting to make another post so soon, but it seems there's a better solution to the windows 10 display problems that Junketsu Megami-sama's english translation has.

BinaryFail from the FuwaForums took a look at the game and made a patch which changes the game's font around so the english translation will actually be legible:

If you are on Windows 10, make sure you install "Japanese Supplemental Fonts" on your system, then download the following archive:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/3931abnj1cy06a2/Junketsu_English_Patch.zip

Extract the two files from the .zip (one is the script file with the translation, the other is BinaryFail's .exe to fix the text) and move them directly into the folder where Junketsu Megami-sama is installed. After that, simply run 'PURE_GODDESS-mod.EXE' and the text should be much more readable than before. No wordwrap as of yet, but at least the english letters display properly. Apparently it also fixes a problem that Junketsu had where the game has troubles starting if you have too much vram powering your systems GPU, so if anyone was having that issue; here you go?

Thank you so much to BinaryFail; this will probably work a lot better for some people than running a text hooker alongside the game.

UPDATE: At the moment, the english script is not formatted to stay within the confines of the game's small text window, so be aware that if you use the modded .exe, some of my longer line translations may go down below the on screen buttons. My apologies; I'll look into revising that as well. In the meantime, if this occurs when you're playing the game, the third button from the right on the in-game menu (the one with the text バックログ) is the button that brings up the backlog of the game's script, which should display all the previous text properly so you can read anything you might have missed in the sceneLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com29tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-14310345034615367252016-04-18T02:41:00.002-07:002016-04-18T02:41:44.718-07:00Where we go from here (and Junketsu Alpha Patch #2)First off, I must give my thanks to Tay and the people behind the weekly Visual Novel Translation Status update. Not only do they provide updates about new and active translation projects (including mine, at times), yet hearing of my ongoing and annoying problems with medical bills, they reached out on their own accord and included a mention of me in their weekly updates, to try and raise some money for me to cover some of my costs. They asked nothing in return, and surprisingly(?) a couple people actually did donate. So thank you so much to Tay and VNTS.

And especial thanks to the people who did donate; I'd mention you by name, but that'd probably be a bad idea. So, in acronym, thank you to HDC, AJ, TF, AN, MJ, XC, CP, LR, and MA. It's so appreciated, I'd like to have the skill to do fanart for you. Thanks and shout outs as well to everyone who donated even before these medical bills.

Second off, the new way I'm doing projects.

When I first started LQT, I had a number of projects I wanted to do. I still have a number I want to do, but I've found out I can only do so much at a time, and if I take on too much at once I create an unfortunate backlog of projects which I might not ever get around to, but people might still be waiting to see. HaraMiko and HaraKano started this way, and if you recall, it literally took me two years to finish three routes of Harakano because of it.

So I am going to avoid the backlog.

From here on out, LQT will have two categories of projects. Active Projects and Future Projects.

Active Projects are projects being worked on actively. They will get all the attention and all of the work whenever I have the time. They may even have time specially put aside for them, if demand/interest is high enough.

Future Projects are projects that I want to work on in the future, but am not working on currently (and make no guarantee of getting to). They will receive none of the attention and have no work done on them until I finish more of the active projects and make room. Basically, they're on queue.

A future project can become an active project sooner, but pretty much only if one or more people decide to fund the project. How much funding any given future project might require depends on the project. Commissions can also be requested (and if I agree to do it, then the commission will certainly become an active project, but the details behind that will vary with each project).

That explained, there are currently two active projects that I am working on:

Junketsu Megami-Sama by LUNE

and

Mahou Tsukai no Yoru by Type-Moon

These two projects get all of my attention until their completion. They will be the only active projects until they're done, unless someone funds another project.

In regards to future projects, I have a couple in mind, but I can only give an actual price estimate for one: the works of SwanEye and/or Swanmania.

Thanks to the work of Bonzaimonkey, I have the script files and patches for HaraMin, HaraKano, HaraChuchu, Hitozuma Onee-san, and Mamankyoushitsu and HaraPara. Work has been done on a number of these (a lot of it by myself) but if anyone wants to see a specific character route translated from any of these games, then I can safely say it would cost 200 usd for me to do (unless it's a revision of Mamankyoushitsu or HaraPara, in which case the whole revision would just cost 200). If a route gets funded, it will immediately become an active project, and indeed be of higher priority than the projects I'm doing for fun. Be aware though, that with HaraChuChu the common route would have to be translated as well.

Now, for something of more interest:
Junketsu Megami-Sama Alpha Patch #2
Awhile ago a kind anon helped me get access to the script files for Junketsu Megami Sama and made a patch so I could put edited scripts back into the game... kinda. Now that Harakano and Haramiko are finished, I've been able to devote more time to the project. So, if you happen to still have it installed, here is the second alpha patch for Junketsu Megami-sama:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/0p1qb545zjbgdvm/md_scr.med

To install it, just download that file and put it directly into the folder where you have Junketsu Megami-sama installed (overwrite the old md_src.med file).

This patch translates the entire prologue of the game, but may require some extra effort to properly utilize.

Junketsu Megami-sama has the weird tendency to condense English alphabet characters when they're displayed in game (so 'm' appears like 'n' and 'w' looks like 'v'), so in order to actually read anything from the patch, after installing it you will probably have to use a text hooker program with the game to capture the english and display it more legibly. Unfortunately, I do not know of a good program to do this with, nor do I have instructions on how to get it done; it's an alpha patch and I haven't quite figured that part out yet (indeed, I'd like to make a request that anyone who does figure out a good way to do it, please send me a tweet, email, or blog post about just how you did it and what you used. Also feel free to point out any spelling or grammar mistakes I may have made; it's an alpha translation, I'm gonna revise it).

My apologies to have so little to show for such a long blog post; I think the Junketsu patch is worth checking out (if you have the text hooker set up right), but it's really only a couple scenes and exposition, though it does give a nice look at some of the characters and their personalities. Unfortunately I do not have any ETA on when more of Junketsu or Mahou Tsukai will be done, as real life is currently taking up entirely too much of my time. My apologies again, and as always, my thanks to everyone for waiting so long and so patiently.

Unrelatedly, if you would like to simply support LQT without any specific translation project request, please feel free to donate. Everything helps and is greatly appreciated, and I'll even tweet or post your initials in a thank you message... not that that's really doing much.

Thank you all again,

LQTLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-27811356864414226162016-03-31T02:13:00.003-07:002016-03-31T02:13:51.303-07:00Ren Fujino 100% English Patch - Harakano!Hello all.

Exactly two years ago as of tomorrow, I released a (negative) 100 percent English patch for SwanEye's HaraKano visual novel. It was an April Fool's joke, but no one really appreciated it, and actually got kinda miffed. Partially because of that, I decided to take on a REAL translation of HaraKano, in hopes of translating Marina Tachibana's, Ayana Seno's, and Ren Fujino's character routes.

Two years and over 70,000 lines of text and code later, it is finally done.

Ren Fujino 100% English patch is FINISHED. This patch translates 100 percent of Ren Fujino's route into english, along with her bonus mode epilogue. It has been translated, revised, and edited for better reading, description, and flow of English.

Download the patch HERE:

https://www.mediafire.com/?muy1s6yvv29j00l

To install, simply open the .zip archive, extract all the files/folders therein, then move them directly into the folder where you have HaraKano installed. Once done, launch the game. It should run.

IF IT DOESN'T: use the task manager to close every instance of Harakano.exe, go into the folder where HaraKano is installed, and find and delete the savedata folder. At times, something happens when HaraKano detects discrepancies between the text of the user's save files and the text of the English patch, so you have to delete your save data and start over to correct it.

Unfortunately, the patch does not translate any of the buttons or options for HaraKano. As such, I have prepared an imgur album with a guide for the screens and buttons of HaraKano.

Check the guide out HERE:

http://imgur.com/a/FBzuU

For neat trivia and information about HaraKano and the translation choices I made for this project, check out the 'HaraKano Side Notes.txt' that I included with the english patch (it will be in the patches folder, alongside the actual game scripts - but be sure to turn on word wrap after you open it). Alternatively, check out some of the character specific notes HERE:

https://vndb.org/t7521

This completes the three school girl routes of HaraKano, and with it, all I planned to do for the HaraKano game.

Thank you to everyone who waited out these many months, waiting for me to make progress with this game, after the initial joke route two years ago (even if my joke harem end was more inclusive than the game's actual harem end). A special thanks to all the anons who showed their support and gave their support to LQT throughout this translation project. Thank you so very much; as always, I appreciate it.

Will I ever return to Harakano? Unfortunately, probably not. At least, not gratis. I happened to suffer appendicitis awhile back, and while fortunately I survived, unfortunately I survived in the United States, and the little insurance I had for the procedure did not of course cover the costs. As such, I am looking at roughly a 1,200 dollar bill to cover, which probably means needing to look for another job and means less time for translation. I am not against continuing HaraKano, but to do any other character route (or indeed do any character route of any Swan game I'm not already planning on doing), I would probably have to charge for it, and probably to the tune of two hundred dollars. If that sounds reasonable to anyone, by all means let me know; bills suck.

At any rate, thank you all for your continued support. I think out of the three school girls, Ren's route probably has the best story. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed translating it (although, Ren's speaking... tendencies kinda proved, hard to... convey).

At any rate, thank you all again. Please enjoy Ren's route, and of course support the original release (SwanEye has recenlty been re-releasing all the SwanEye titles in low-price physical versions, and HaraKano should be next up after HaraMin comes out at the end of this April. Know an importer? You can get them all from Amazon.co.jp!)LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-55274816217266381132016-01-23T11:44:00.000-08:002016-01-23T11:44:15.334-08:00Happy birthday to me~ Haramiko 100% Translated! It's January, which means~ birthday time! Happy birthday to me, so here's a present for you:

Haramiko 100% English Patch!
I wanted to take care of a bit of my backlog, so I decided to finally finish Haramiko before starting on any other major length project. After days of work, hours of review, and more, I have finally completed it! The story of Haramiko is now 100% in English - the common route, Hazuki's route, Uzuki's route, and the Harem end. I even revised it, so hopefully there's more quality and fewer errors.

HaraMiko is a visual novel by SwanMania, released back in 2008, about Shrine maidens, spirits, and a little bit more~ Check out the vndb page for it at https://vndb.org/v2737.

Interested? Want to check it out? You can download the patch here:

https://www.mediafire.com/?199ygznvbpggs41

To install the patch, simply extract all the files and folders from the .zip archive and put them into Haramiko's install folder, same as every other SwanEye/Swanmania patch I've ever done.

There was pretty much no demand for this game, but it's actually probably my favorite Swan title, despite being a shorter nukige game. The UI is, as usual, untranslated (I don't have a patch for that), but in order to make it a little more accessible, I created an imgur album which contains image guides for the game. If you need it, feel free to check it out here:

HaraMiko UI Guides

As always, thank you for all your support. Another shot out is in order for the friendly anon ChPe who donated 10 dollars; it's definitely appreciated. If you feel like supporting LoeQuality Translations for this or any other work, feel free to check out the donate page at the right.

I hope everyone enjoys HaraMiko as much as I did, and I apologize to everyone waiting on Ren's route. It is, unfortunately, still in the works.

Thanks all~

-LQTLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-91922223830783254472015-12-28T18:22:00.002-08:002015-12-28T18:22:43.399-08:00Second Experimental PatchA little bit more progress on the Junketsu patch, but only through Tia's first time in the prologue.

If you have Junketsu installed, same story as before, download the file, put it in your Junketsu Megami-Sama folder, and see how well the text does and doesn't display, and what gets captured by various text hookers.

https://www.mediafire.com/?0p1qb545zjbgdvm

I was working on it over the holidays, so it doesn't really translate much (again, just through Tia's first time in the prologue), but it does translate the choice option and chapter titles in the prologue. If you, fair reader, are up to it, this means you can test it so I can see how well these things do and don't work with text hookers and if there will be any problems getting the english version to "work" on different operating systems. None of the changes have made the game crash on launch, at least - more than what I can say for Swaneye titles.

In other news, HaraKano is on Ren's route still. Haramiko is on Uzuki's route still. Maman still needs to be revised and rewritten. I'm finally getting back to Mahoyo, though at no quick space, but I'm not certain if I should try to continue from where McJon01 left off, or just do the entire thing. I'm leaning towards the latter, if only because I'll probably do it better that way.

As usual, special thanks to everyone who has donated, especially to one certain individual, LR, who has donated four times(!). I really appreciate it, and judging by how many times the laptop crashed while translating this little, I probably really need it. Thank you so much.

Merry belated Christmas if you celebrate that sort of thing, kick-ass awesome Kwanzaa if you celebrate that, superb Solstice, happy Hanukkah, and so on and so forth. Happy new year, when we get to it~

I'd draw you all some Holiday/New Year thank you art, but yeah, no.

Thanks all!

-LQTLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-76872507024788808822015-11-26T16:51:00.002-08:002015-11-26T16:51:42.405-08:00Something to be thankful for? Experimental Patch.Hello all,

Not much to say; I've been a bit busy with various things and various other things, not all of which have been fun. Harakano is, of course, still being worked on, as is Haramiko, and I hope to eventually get around to more of Mahoyo (though the first five chapters have already been translated thanks to the work of McJon01, and is available now for download. Check it out here).

In the meantime, though, it's Thanksgiving in the US, and the harvest time around much of the world. Usually a decent time to give thanks for what we have and show gratitude.

At some times, in some cultures, this thanks would be dedicated to certain gods and/or goddesses, ones that provided food, worked so the harvest would be plenty, and ensured the ongoing of life. Fertility gods/goddesses.

Relatedly, if anyone happens to have Junketsu Megami-sama installed, there's an experiment I would like some help with.

If you happen to have Junketsu installed and know your way around game engines and/or text hookers, you should download this patch:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/0p1qb545zjbgdvm/md_scr.med

Once downloaded, go to the folder where you have Junketsu Megami-sama installed (you might want to make a duplicate of it). Rename the original md_src.med file to something else , then move the downloaded md_src.med file into the game's folder. You should still be able to run the game (if you can't, you should tell me about it).

What this is is an experimental patch to translate Junketsu Megami-sama. It is by no means complete (it only goes through the first scene or two of the introduction), and it doesn't display properly.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find some way to get the text to display right (provided, of course, that you have the skill working vn engines), or (if you don't have that skill) perhaps find the proper text hooker to run alongside the game so that the text hooker can hook the english text from the game and display it properly somehow (provided you know how to work modern text hookers).

Depending on how good or bad this goes (and the interest in it) I might try to take on all of Junketsu, and explore what other issues might come from creating an english translation for it (I only hope it doesn't have the savedata issues that Swan games have).

Other than that, Happy thanksgiving, happy harvest all!

Unrelatedly, if you happen to be feeling thankful for LQT's translations of varying quality and are capable of being generous, donations would certainly be appreciated, for some of the above mentioned less-than-fun things that have suddenly come up. I'd like to thank everyone who's supported LQT, enjoy my work, and have had the patience necessary to wait for said work to appear. I would like to give special shout out the eight anons who have donated a total of 142 dollars over the past year; your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

For reasons, I will not be posting any updates on Junketsu to the LQT twitter.LoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-82074805239762526802015-10-21T19:36:00.002-07:002015-10-21T20:07:49.772-07:00HaraKano - Ayana Seno's Route 100% English PatchHello all,

After weeks and weeks of working, hours and hours of revising, thousands and thousand of lines (14k), and tons and tons of car repairs and other annoying unexpected expenses, the English patch for Ayana Seno's route is finally completed!

Ayana is nice, semi-competant girl who happens to be a tomboy, and is probably my favorite heroine in all of HaraKano (but that's just, like, my opinion, man). Story wise, her route has a little more going on for it than Marina's does (though Yuichi remains as dense as ever for a lot of it), and hopefully you will find it as entertaining to read as I found it to translate. It was actually kinda fun.

The new patch translates 100% of Ayana's route, 100% of her epilogue, and has been revised from its initial translation for better flow in English. So, with this, the HaraKano english patch now features the common route, all of Marina's route (and epilogue) and all of Ayana's route (and epiloge) in full English.

You can download the patch from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/muy1s6yvv29j00l/patch.zip

To install, just extract all the files/folders from the .zip archive onto your computer, then move them directly into the folder where you have HaraKano installed (overwrite any pre-existing files). Note that it works best when HaraKano is installed directly onto your C: drive somewhere.

Please be advised: since the patch updates the scripts in the game, there is a chance that if you have previous save files from HaraKano, they may not be compatible with the new patch and thus may not load anymore or might cause the game to crash upon launch (this is when the infamous script error box appears). If this happens, exit all the error messages, make sure Harakano's .exe is closed in the task manager, then delete the folder named "savedata" in the HaraKano game folder and relaunch the game. It should run now, and when you begin the story, it should be in English. This will erase all your progress, but is unfortunately the only way to get the game to work with the new patch (to make up lost progress, remember many computers let you hold down CTRL to skip through text in visual novels, including HaraKano).

Meanwhile, HaraKano is still not finished. I am planning on doing Ren's route as well, then may move on to other projects (such as MahoTsukai no Yoru, provided no one has finished it by then. People should really work on it.) I also still have Haramiko to finish (though no one seems to care about that game, unfortunately), along with more from Batta., so look forward to that, maybe.

I'd like to thank everyone for continuing to have patience with my (s)Loe Quality Translations, and would like to give special thanks to the few anons who have donated to LQT so far. It is extremely helpful. Extremely. If anyone reading would also like show their appreciation and donate, as said, it's extremely helpful, and you can find the links to the LQT donation page on the right bar (or just click here). Harakano fanart could also potentially be a cool way of showing appreciation.

At any rate, I hope everyone enjoys Ayana's route; Tomboys need more love.

Thank you all again,
(Did you know, that once you download and install the English patch, if you look inside the 'patch' folder you can find a text file named HaraKano Side Notes which contains different facts, details, and notes on HaraKano, the characters, and the translation of their routes? Check it out, but be sure to enable word wrap!)

I had just acquired a Japanese ps2 and was looking for some games for it. I came across this 'Melty Blood: Act Cadenza' game, which I remembered hearing about from my Guilty Gear days, back in the US. I bought it, played it, and almost instantly became interested in this surprisingly nonchalant looking character, Aozaki Aoko. That was my first experience with anything Tsukihime.

Fast forward two or so years, during my second trip to Japan, I just so happened to be lucky enough to be in Akihabara when, after so much delay, pic related finally got released:

As a dedicated Aoko main and poor saver of money, of course I couldn't just NOT get it; I bought it on the spot, to keep until I had the time to get around to reading it, which I never did. Then, much later (just some weeks ago from now) there was a Mahou Tsukai no Yoru thread on /a/. I posted the above pic asking for tech help to finally start a translation project for it, and lo' and behold, some days later a kindly anon emailed me and provided me the script files to the game.

So, long story short, I am translating Mahou Tsukai no Yoru.

I realize this has already been done (in theory) and there are a number of groups already working on this (in theory), but as I've yet to see any of these projects finish, I'm going to start anyway. I will be translating the game from the beginning, working at whatever pace I can manage. I welcome any and all help I can get on this (it deserves the extra care, after all), but I make no guarantees or estimates on when the translation will be finished, or even when a playable demo patch might exist (that's one of the problems I need help with).

If another group finishes before me, more power to them and I look forward to reading their finished work. If no group does, well that's a hell of a shame, but I hope my translation will be adequate. I believe there are around 200+ script files for the game in total, of which I have completed 2.2 of. So yeah, no completion estimates whatsoever. Thank you all for your support and interest

-LoeLoeQualityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04004331143658827001noreply@blogger.com21tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1693802164270935708.post-758717703727610002015-08-01T14:00:00.000-07:002015-08-01T14:51:53.860-07:00HaraKano - Marina's Route 100% English Patch ReleasedHello all,

After entirely too long of waiting, Marina's route is now finished, and available via the patch below! This patch translates the common route, Marina's route, and Marina's epilogue 100% in English, and has been read and revised for better flow of English.

Now you, too, can enjoy probably the most slice of life, moege-esque visual novel ever to be labelled a nukige! Watch Yuichi be dense, count the cliches, wait for the plot to never arrive! It's really, uh, quite something, though I feel like Marina's route might, in fact, be one of the least interesting to go through. Oh well~

Read it now, and decide for yourself!

To get the patch, simply download the .zip file from the following link:

https://www.mediafire.com/?muy1s6yvv29j00l

To install, extract the contents of the .zip archive directly into the folder where you have HaraKano installed, overwriting all files.

If you have any save files for HaraKano when you install the patch, before you starting the game, BE SURE TO DELETE YOUR SAVEDATA FOLDER. For some reason, the English patch does not work well with save files from the Japanese scripts or from prior iterations of the patch. If you have the game properly installed but get a script file error when you try to run the .exe after you install the patch, kill every HaraKano.exe with the task manager, delete the save files, THEN try to run the appropriate .exe to run the game.

As always, thanks to Bonzaimonkey for providing me the files necessary to create this patch, and thanks to all of you for being so patient for it (and for not minding the April Fools -100% patch way back when).

Feedback, of course, is always appreciated - LQT can be reached either here, or via the LQT Twitter: https://twitter.com/LoeQuality

Thank you all for your support and patience, and if anyone feels especially thankful, donations are also always appreciated via the donation section on the sidebar. Thank you all again, and my apologies for not releasing this nearly as quick as I had hoped. Things have been busy...
